Dedicated to exhibiting innovative artwork from local and national photographers and artists, the
URBAN LIGHT STUDIOS Seattle art gallery is a truly unique venue.

Housed in the iconic Greenwood Collective building, the gallery has been lovingly restored from an old industrial space, carefully preserving the character the space has earned through over 80 years of life.

Opening a new show the second Friday of each month to coincide with the Greenwood-Phinney monthly Art Walk, we are committed to offering the art community a unique experience, showing works by both well known and undiscovered artists that can't be seen elsewhere.

Seattle filmmakers Michael and Deirdre Cross often wondered what their cat, Cooper, did all day. As an experiment, they attached a special digital camera to his collar, rigged to take a photo every two minutes. Thousands of images later, a unique body of work emerged - sometimes amusing, sometimes
stunningly beautiful, other times strangely haunting. What simultaneously emerged was a unique new concept - that of art without artist intent.
