ULS WEDDINGS: Badass Wedding Décor
Aug2011 3

You’ve decided to book your wedding at Urban Light Studios – congratulations! Not only are you going to have the best party in town, you’re going to be able to save a ton of money on what can be an all-out spending spree on trying to give the space a little more pazazz. One of the big advantages of hosting your wedding at Urban Light Studios is that you don't have to spend a ton (or any!) money on decor - the space is pretty spectacular as is, if I do say so myself.

However, while everyone swoons over the big bare brick wall in the Main Space, lots of ULS couples decide to get creative and make the room a little more "them" by utilizing the built-in picture rail. Whether you want to hang photos, string lights, drape fabric, or install art, little touches can bring a lot of your personality into the space.

Georgina and Ryan hung their awesome art (made by the groom) representing all of their hobbies, with their initials as bookends (image via Urban Light Studios)

Jinny and Chris used twine, clothespins and photos spanning their lives and relationship for their vintage inspired, whimsical, foodie heaven wedding (image via Urban Light Studios)

Rachel and Shawn hung banners bearing their initials (image via Urban Light Studios)

Larry and Kathleen used our metal screens and magnets for a chic and easy way to hang their photos (image via Urban Light Studios)

The possibilities are endless. Here are a few ideas from other events to get the creative juices flowin’.

Framed plants! Green looks gorgeous in the space and these could be given to guests as a parting gift when the night is over (image via Green Wedding Shoes)

You could take a cue from the always stylish Anthropologie window displays - Ribbon or fabric of all different lengths would look right at home tied along the rail (image via Anthropologie)

Spell out your wedding day sentiments with a DIY customized banner - or get 'em off Etsy, like these two gems (Images via Etsy sellers theartofhandmades and craftyearth).

Or you can do an all out art installation/color explosion like this super creative couple did (Image via 100 Layer Cake)
